بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ

Bismi Allah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem

  1. 1 وَیۡلࣱ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةࣲ لُّمَزَةٍ

    Wayl leekul Humazah lumaza

    Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter,

  2. 2 ٱلَّذِی جَمَعَ مَالࣰا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ

    al-ladhee jama mala wa'adadahu

    Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by,

  3. 3 یَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥۤ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ

    yah-sa-boo anna malahoo Akh-lada-hoo

    Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever!

  4. 4 كَلَّاۖ لَیُنۢبَذَنَّ فِی ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ

    Kalla layunbathann fay Al-Hutamah

    By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces,

  5. 5 وَمَاۤ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ

    adraka ma Al-Hutamah

    And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces?

  6. 6 نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ

    Nah-roo Allah Al-mooqadah

    (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze),

  7. 7 ٱلَّتِی تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ

    Al-latee tattlieu alay Al-af-ee-dah-tee

    The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts:

  8. 8 إِنَّهَا عَلَیۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةࣱ

    Innaha moosadah

    It shall be made into a vault over them,

  9. 9 فِی عَمَدࣲ مُّمَدَّدَةِۭ

    fay amed mumaddada

    In columns outstretched.
